Scott and Pat Mueller have a 40 year history of entrepreneurship and investment in the Columbus community. As caretakers of the Evans House, their vision has been to restore this historic home to its former splendor, and share its beauty, charm, character and history.

The Evans House is home to the Muellers, and the offices of Samson Inc.

The Muellers began farming and feeding cattle in 1979, and branched out into composting, commodity trading, and certification of cattle for export markets. Agriculture is the cornerstone upon which other business ventures such as banking and hotel ownership have been built.

From 1998 to 2018 the Muellers owned and operated Traditions Inn, a Restaurant, Bed & Breakfast, Pub and Gift Shoppe in Columbus.

Both Scott and Pat have undergraduate degrees from UNL and Masters degrees from Wayne State College. The Muellers have 2 married sons, and 5 grandchildren.

Faith, Family, Fellowship & Community Involvement are the values their businesses are built upon.

Scott and Pat invite you to experience the grandeur, unique architecture and elegance of their Neoclassical Revival Mansion as it continues to emerge throughout the restoration process.
